Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flavor Emelianenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flavor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Rivera should have avoided that one. Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Emelianenko as he jumps to the side. Emelianenko tries to bum rush Rivera with a series of wild strikes but Rivera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rivera shoots in but Emelianenko avoids the takedown attempt easily. Emelianenko leaves Rivera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mountain Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emelianenko darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut. Oh, that's a big right hand from Emelianenko and Rivera goes tumbling to the canvas! Emelianenko follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Rivera is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rivera throws a strike from the bottom but Emelianenko passes into side control!
Rivera wants to control but Emelianenko postures up. Rivera on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rivera tries to get out of the position. Emelianenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Emelianenko stands up and beckons Rivera to his feet. Emelianenko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rivera.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko cracks Rivera with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Rivera clinches with his opponent.
Emelianenko looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rivera has Emelianenko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Emelianenko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Rivera tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Emelianenko avoids it. Emelianenko tries for a takedown but Rivera manages to get underhooks.
Emelianenko wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rivera unloads a knee to the mid-section. Emelianenko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rivera tries to score a body lock takedown but Emelianenko shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rivera looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Emelianenko! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko is looking to improve his position but Rivera isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rivera manages to capitalize on a mistake by Emelianenko to take his back! Rivera doesn't have the hooks in and Emelianenko manages to turn into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Emelianenko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Emelianenko throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Rivera colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Emelianenko as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Rivera is left battered and dazed whilst Emelianenko and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flavor Emelianenko!
