Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Detour Benworthit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hardwick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benworthit comes to the ring accompanied by T.I feat Christina Aguilera - Castle Walls. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hardwick's choice of entrance music: Elephant Man - Pon Di River. Jason Hardwick is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benworthit gets caught flat footed, as Hardwick shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hardwick keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Benworthit's head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hardwick is in close to Benworthit's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Benworthit is breathing heavily.
Benworthit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hardwick stands and steps away. Benworthit gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hardwick gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Benworthit wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Hardwick is now in half guard.
Benworthit has hold of Hardwick's hands but Hardwick slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Benworthit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hardwick stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Benworthit throws a series of punches but Hardwick avoids them all with ease.

Benworthit motions for Hardwick to come forward. Benworthit throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Benworthit stuffs the takedown attempt from Hardwick. Hardwick gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hardwick shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Benworthit is trying to defend but Hardwick finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hardwick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hardwick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hardwick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hardwick lands a strong strike to the head of Benworthit. That's dazed him! Hardwick looking to finish here. Benworthit is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Hardwick lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
