The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan closes the distance and clinches up with Sakara, looking for a takedown. Donovan pushes Sakara against the cage but Sakara circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Donovan moves out of range of the strikes.
Donovan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sakara misses with a low kick.
Crunch! Donovan slams his shin into Sakara's torso.
Sakara takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Donovan lands a head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Donovan rushes Sakara and presses him up against the cage.

Donovan goes for a takedown attempt but Sakara pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Donovan moves into the clinch.
Sakara wants to break the clinch but can't.
Donovan has Sakara pressed against the cage, preventing Sakara from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Donovan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sakara lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sakara is looking to break free of the clinch but Donovan has double underhooks.
