4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Filipovich Petruhin! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petruhin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Tanner looking for submissions off his back. Tanner is looking to improve his position.
Tanner wants to control but Petruhin is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petruhin controlling the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Igor Filipovich Petruhin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Tanner misses with an uppercut.

Petruhin passes Tanner's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Petruhin is taking a breather. Tanner says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tanner actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Tanner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Petruhin is pushing down on Tanner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tanner is fighting to maintain full guard but Petruhin has managed to sneak the leg through. Petruhin is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Petruhin prevents Tanner from improving his position. Tanner wants to control but Petruhin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
