Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Renten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Rocco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Renten has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Renten seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Renten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xavier Rocco! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rocco. Rocco gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rocco has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Renten is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rocco lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Rocco is looking to take a break and control but Renten is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Renten wants to get back to his feet. Renten tries to roll over but Rocco keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocco trying to control the pace. Renten could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rocco trying to control the action but Renten is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Renten is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rocco seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Xavier Rocco was stalling too much, according to the referee. Rocco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Renten as he jumps to the side. Jack Renten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Rocco. Rocco moves away from the strike by Renten.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Renten tries to avoid it but Rocco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Renten to the ground. Renten escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rocco moves in looking to clinch but Renten pushes him off. Rocco shoots for a takedown but Renten saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rocco tries to clinch up. Renten loads up on a big right hand but Rocco slips the punch. Renten misses the jab. Rocco tries for a takedown but Renten sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Rocco looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Renten stuffs the takedown. Renten really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. No joy there for Renten, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Renten misses. Rocco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Renten throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Renten thows a left - swing and a miss! Rocco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Renten is fending him off so far but Rocco persists. Nope, Renten circles away and we're back to standing. Jack Renten is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Renten throws a right and a left that Rocco avoids nicely. Rocco darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rocco perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xavier Rocco dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Renten lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Rocco tries to clinch up but Renten circles away and keeps his distance. Rocco fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rocco fails with a takedown attempt. Rocco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Renten circles away. Jack Renten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Rocco. Horrible takedown by Rocco or perhaps it was just good defense by Renten which made him look bad. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocco fails with the takedown. Renten avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Renten is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Rocco's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
That's one minute gone in the round. Renten stuffs the takedown. Rocco has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Renten finds it's way round the side to connect with Rocco's head. A decent looking cross lands there for Renten. Renten loads up on a big right hand but Rocco slips the punch. Rocco steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Renten. Renten looks to throw the jab but Rocco is out of range. Rocco staying out of range there. Xavier Rocco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rocco looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Renten! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Renten is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rocco trying to control but Renten is having none of it. Renten holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rocco tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Renten is looking to get to half guard. Rocco looking to control and managing it successfully. Rocco looking to ground and pound but Renten is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rocco takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rocco with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Xavier Rocco will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Rocco shoots in and bounces Renten off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Renten wants to stand but Rocco is controlling the position. Rocco trying to control but Renten is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Xavier Rocco is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rocco looking to sit in guard and control but Renten gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rocco pushes Renten off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Renten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rocco manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Renten looks to land a left hand but Rocco moved out of range nicely. Rocco moves in looking to clinch but Renten pushes him off. Rocco uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Renten. Rocco shoots in looking for a takedown. Renten tries to sprawl out of it but Rocco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Renten manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rocco shoots in and drives through. Renten sprawls well. Rocco staying out of range there. Renten misses with a straight left. Rocco fails to land the takedown. Jack Renten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Rocco.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Renten leaves Rocco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Xavier Rocco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sloppy strikes from Renten. Those never looked like landing. Renten smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Rocco moves out of range of the strikes. Rocco bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rocco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Renten swivels and escapes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters circling - Renten throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Renten stuffs the takedown attempt from Rocco. Rocco gets slowly back to his feet. Jack Renten has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rocco avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Xavier Rocco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Rocco winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
