Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvel Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Selwoods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Selwoods is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvel Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Selwoods! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson throws a right and a left that Selwoods avoids nicely. Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but Selwoods swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tyson throws a body punch but Selwoods moves out of range. Tyson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Selwoods misses with a few strikes there.
Tyson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Selwoods. Tyson throws a looping overhand right but Selwoods ducks down to avoid it. Selwoods uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tyson. Tyson wants to clinch. Tyson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Tyson takes a swing at Selwoods's ribcage but misses. Tyson moves into the clinch. Tyson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Selwoods shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Selwoods showed some decent athleticism there. Tyson trying to control but Selwoods postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Selwoods controlling the position easily from mount. Tyson wants to hold on but Selwoods pushes him away. Selwoods stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Tyson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Selwoods counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Tyson tries to clinch and Selwoods counters with a good, hard body kick but Tyson shrugs it off. Tyson is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Selwoods scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Selwoods decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tyson to his feet. Tyson misses with a takedown attempt and Selwoods counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Selwoods. Selwoods is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tyson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mark Selwoods dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Selwoods drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Selwoods is looking to stand up but Tyson won't let him. Selwoods slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Selwoods tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Selwoods stands up and we're back to a striking position. No luck for Selwoods with that takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Selwoods is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Selwoods fails to pull guard.

Tyson tries to bum rush Selwoods with a series of wild strikes but Selwoods uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Excellent takedown into side control there by Selwoods. Selwoods wants to control but Tyson is keeping him busy. Selwoods tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Selwoods has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Selwoods moves into full mount! Selwoods is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tyson is surviving well by controlling Selwoods's body position as best he can. Selwoods get's back to his feet.

Tyson misses with a takedown and Selwoods finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Selwoods shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tyson's guard. Tyson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Selwoods manages to pass to side control. Mark Selwoods showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyson wants to stand and escape but Selwoods is having none of it. Selwoods stands up from guard. Tyson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Mark Selwoods has got the better of the ground game so far. Tyson is trying to control the position but Selwoods postures up. Selwoods is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Selwoods from controlling successfully. Marvel Tyson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Selwoods has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tyson clinches but Selwoods breaks the clinch and Tyson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tyson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Selwoods swats him away and circles back towards the center. Selwoods throws a series of strikes that have Tyson backpedaling.
No joy there for Tyson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

And that's the end of the fight! Mark Selwoods comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Selwoods has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
