The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souwer is looking to clinch but Pieter is avoiding it.

Souwer clinches up against the cage.
Souwer can't get the takedown.
Souwer comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Souwer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Souwer misses with some punches.
Souwer content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Pieter looking to throw knees to the head but Souwer is blocking nicely.
Souwer has Pieter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pieter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pieter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Souwer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pieter goes for a takedown attempt but Souwer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Souwer has closed the distance and engaged Pieter in a clinch.

Souwer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pieter uses from the top position.
Pieter wants to stand but Souwer is controlling his posture from full guard.
