The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Optiplex sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Nickatina to the ground! Optiplex dives into full mount looking to finish!
Nickatina is rocked!
Nickatina holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Optiplex tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Nickatina is still in real trouble! Can Optiplex finish him?
Optiplex throws some wild stikes that Nickatina manages to avoid easily.
Nickatina holds on to Optiplex as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Nickatina seems to have recovered his senses.
Optiplex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nickatina on the ground.
Optiplex looking to land elbow strikes but Nickatina uses the position to regain half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nickatina is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nickatina tries to free his leg and advance position but Optiplex is retaining full guard.
