Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itzak Rozenthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem comes to the cage accompanied by Barbarian Horde By Hans Zimmer. Rozenthal has chosen The Journey of the Sorcerer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Overeem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Itzak Rozenthal! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overeem changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rozenthal tries to avoid it but Overeem manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rozenthal to the ground. Rozenthal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Overeem shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Overeem showed some decent athleticism there. Rozenthal blocking the ground and pound attempt from Overeem. Rozenthal wants to control but Overeem passes into side.
Rozenthal tries to get back to half guard but can't. Overeem decides to stand back up. Overeem steps back and let's Rozenthal get back to his feet. Rozenthal throws a head kick but Overeem moves out of range.
Overeem has Rozenthal up against the cage in a clinch.
Overeem is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rozenthal wants to get back to striking at distance but Overeem won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Overeem pulls Rozenthal into guard.
Overeem is controlling Rozenthal's posture. Overeem wants to stand and escape but Rozenthal is having none of it. Rozenthal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Overeem is proving hard to escape from. Overeem had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rozenthal defends it easily. Rozenthal trying to control the position from guard on top but Overeem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeem wants to sweep but no luck. Rozenthal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Overeem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Overeem kicks Rozenthal off and gets to his feet. Overeem closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Overeem lands in his opponent's guard. Overeem is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rozenthal keeping full guard, as Overeem tries to pass. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rozenthal wants to stand up but Overeem is controlling him. Rozenthal looks gassed! Overeem is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Overeem advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Overeem wants to work for an arm triangle but Rozenthal is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Overeem is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rozenthal doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Overeem. Rozenthal wants to get back to his feet.
Overeem trying to control the action but Rozenthal is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alistair Overeem dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Overeem decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Overeem stalling. Overeem is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Overeem trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rozenthal tries to lock up and control but Overeem gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rozenthal is breathing heavily. Overeem controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. You get the feeling that Rozenthal really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Rozenthal is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Overeem working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rozenthal turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Overeem off and cradles Rozenthal's limp body as Overeem celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Alistair Overeem!
