Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Sabota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn comes to the cage accompanied by Duality - Slipknot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Flynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Sabota! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn throws out a loose jab but Sabota uses good head movement to avoid it. Flynn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sabota manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sabota on the wrong end of a nice hook. Flynn misses with a wild body shot. Sabota clinches up with Flynn and pushes him back against the cage. Sabota blocks an elbow strike. Sabota is trying to drag Flynn to the mat but Flynn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Flynn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Flynn has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Flynn is looking to stand up but Sabota won't let him. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Flynn stops Sabota from standing up. Flynn is standing up over Sabota. Sabota looks to escape but Flynn dives into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Flynn connects with a looping right hand.
Flynn clinches. Flynn throws an elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sabota tries to pull guard but Flynn holds him up against the cage and eventually Sabota drops back down to his feet.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Flynn obliges. Sabota avoids the elbow strike from Flynn, against the cage.

It looks like Peter Sabota has been cut. Flynn creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Flynn manages to break the clinch.
Flynn closes the distance and pushes Sabota back into the cage. Flynn gets underhooks to prevent Sabota's takedown attempt.

Sabota looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flynn pushes off an throws an elbow but Sabota leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Sabota avoids a wild elbow strike from Flynn. Sabota blocks an elbow strike. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Flynn just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sabota's brow. Sabota is trying to drag Flynn to the mat but Flynn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Flynn lands an elbow inside. Flynn lands a damaging elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flynn takes the fight into the clinch. Flynn is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sabota is defending well for now. Flynn wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Frank Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice leg kick lands there from Flynn. Flynn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sabota. Flynn gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Flynn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Flynn stuffs the takedown attempt from Sabota. Sabota gets slowly back to his feet. Flynn leaves Sabota with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Frank Flynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Sabota. Sabota chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Flynn can pounce on him.
Jab from Flynn. Sabota gets tackled into the cage by Flynn. Flynn maintains the clinch. Sabota is breathing heavily. Flynn comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sabota tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sabota will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sabota looks for a takedown but Flynn sprawls well. Flynn drives through and clinches with Sabota against the cage.

Flynn missing with a left hand there. Sabota was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Flynn wants to clinch but Sabota slips to the side and Sabota counters with a nice double leg into guard. Sabota stops Flynn from standing up. Flynn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sabota wants to control from the top but Flynn keeps moving. Sabota throws a big right hand that misses. Sabota looking to sit in guard and control but Flynn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sabota wants to stand but Flynn is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sabota is working an open guard so Flynn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sabota closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Sabota closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sabota wants to control but Flynn is keeping him busy. Flynn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Flynn kicks off Sabota and gets to his feet. Flynn loads up on a big right hand but Sabota slips the punch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sabota. Sabota is looking to take a break and control but Flynn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sabota is trying to ground and pound but Flynn uses the momentary lack of control by Sabota to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sabota is taking a breather. Flynn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Sabota is stalling here. Flynn is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sabota seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Flynn has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Sabota is pushing Flynn's head away, looking to escape. Flynn manages to hold on to the position though.

Sabota stops Flynn from standing up. Sabota looking to sit in guard and control but Flynn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Frank Flynn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Flynn gets to his feet. Sabota looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Peter Sabota has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
