Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lie Die (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Kersey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lie Die!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Kersey!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kersey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kersey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kersey stopping the sweep attempt from Die.

Kersey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Die has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kersey has managed to get both his arms back between Die's legs - danger averted.
Die wants to sweep here but Kersey controlling him for the moment.
Die avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Die escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kersey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Die preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Die working for a triangle but Kersey defends it easily.
Die wants to sweep here but Kersey controlling him for the moment.

Kersey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kersey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Die looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kersey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Die's guard.
Die regains full guard. Nicely done.

Die is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kersey is aware though and is defending well.

Kersey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Die bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kersey's guard.
Die is breathing heavily.
Kersey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
BOOM! Kersey connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Kersey jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Die manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Die is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Die throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Die throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Die is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kersey off and has taken his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Die is trying to stick to Kersey's back but Kersey is turning into Die. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Die's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kersey.
Kersey distracts Die with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kersey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kersey passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Kersey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kersey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Die tries to buck Kersey off but Kersey is having none of it.
Die throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Die takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Kersey working the head and body with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kersey scoring with punches and elbows.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kersey lands a decent elbow from side control.
Die throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Kersey is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Die looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kersey gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Die is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kersey lets go of the hold and Die can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Paul Kersey!
