Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Harty keeps the fight on the outside.
Harty misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Harty shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Harty throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
A lazy left from Harty finds it's target.
Harty slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva looks for a takedown but Harty sprawls well.
Harty stuffs the takedown.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Harty clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Harty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harty stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Harty throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harty has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Harty avoiding damage as Silva throws knees to the body.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Harty.
Harty lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye.
Harty successfully pulls guard.
Harty wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Harty pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Harty.
Harty with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harty has taken the fight to the clinch.
Harty lands a shoulder strike.
Harty comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Harty escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harty looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Harty thumps Silva with a low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harty's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Harty duly obliges.
Harty looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jab, jab by Harty - just one landing.
Harty throws a one two combo.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Silva. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Harty throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Harty scores with a jab. Silva acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Harty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Harty misses with a two punch combination.
Harty shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Silva trying to control but Harty flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harty lands strikes to the head.
Harty lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Silva hold on?!
Harty biding his time, looking for the opening.
Harty is working for a rear naked choke. Silva is not defending it well and Harty has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Silva refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Silva's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Harty!
