Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Mote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mote has chosen A Passage In Time By Authority Zero as his entrance music. Inoki is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Antonio Inoki has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Antonio Inoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Mote! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inoki shoots in for a double leg but Mote sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Inoki is breathing heavily. Mote looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Inoki! Mote can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Inoki is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mote is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Mote content just to control the position here. Poor strikes thrown by Mote there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Mote wants to finish this one by submission but Inoki is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mote. Mote has control of Inoki's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Inoki regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mote is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Mote throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Inoki wants to control but Mote is having none of it. Mote trying to control but Inoki is having none of it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mote sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mote can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Inoki is looking to escape.
Despite being in the dominant position, Anderson Mote just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mote lands a high kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mote scores with a takedown into Inoki's guard. Inoki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Inoki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mote is one step ahead there. Inoki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Mote is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mote trying to control but Inoki is working from the bottom. Inoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mote wants to pass the guard but Inoki is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mote pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Inoki is keeping the position for now. Inoki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mote gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mote stands and throws Inoki's legs to the side, diving into side control. Inoki sneaks back into half guard. Mote prevents Inoki from improving his position. Mote is thwarting Inoki's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Anderson Mote will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Inoki doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mote counters with a nice leg kick. Mote shoots in and bounces Inoki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mote looking to pass the guard. Inoki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mote avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mote sitting in guard, not really doing much. Inoki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mote! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mote is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Inoki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mote really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Inoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mote tries to hold on but Inoki postures up. Inoki punching from mount but Mote doing a good job of avoiding damage. Mote is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Inoki lands a big shot there that rocks Mote but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

It looks like Anderson Mote has been cut. (x) Inoki working for a guillotine from mount but Mote is in no mood to give up. Mote is still in real trouble! Can Inoki finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mote can do anything to dispel that myth. Inoki throwing strikes here but Mote is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. (x) Inoki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mote manages to avoid the submission attempt.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Inoki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mote counters with a lovely straight right hand! Inoki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mote pinned against the cage. Mote gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Inoki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Inoki shoots for a takedown but Mote saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Mote. No joy for Inoki on that attempt. Inoki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Inoki fails with the takedown. Inoki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mote circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Inoki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mote as he avoids it easily. Inoki shoots in but no luck this time. Mote seems to have recovered his senses. Anderson Mote is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mote scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Mote gets a clinch. Mote leaning his opponent against the cage. Mote pulls guard successfully.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mote holds on and takes a little breather. Mote is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mote shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Inoki's guard. Mote trying to control but Inoki is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Mote showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Anderson Mote's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mote might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Inoki kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Inoki is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mote rolls with it to try and escape but Inoki cranks on the arm and Mote is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
