Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Veli Rokka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pawel Andrea!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rokka throws a predictable looking body shot
and Andrea counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Veli Rokka has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Rokka misses the target.
Andrea takes one to the chin there.
Andrea fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rokka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rokka looks to land a combination but Andrea avoids it well.
Rokka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good leg kick by Rokka there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Andrea tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rokka checks a leg kick.
Rokka throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rokka displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Andrea.
Veli Rokka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rokka ducks right into an uppercut from Andrea.
Rokka tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rokka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Andrea circles away from the clinch attempt.
Andrea throws a hook but Rokka avoids it easily.
Rokka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Andrea misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rokka.
Rokka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rokka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Andrea at a distance.
Andrea misses with a hook
and Rokka counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Andrea falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Veli Rokka!
