Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robin Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Saw!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saw tries to close the distance and clinch but Martin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Saw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Martin.
Saw taking punishment in the form of punches.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Martin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Martin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Saw is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Saw is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Martin decides to stand back up. Martin steps back and let's Saw get back to his feet.
Martin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Martin showed some decent athleticism there.
Martin moves into full mount! Saw won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Saw looks a forlorn figure.
Martin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Saw is bucking up trying to escape but Martin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Saw is still in real trouble! Can Martin finish him?
Martin breaks from Saw's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Saw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saw is desperately trying to improve his position but Martin has a good base and remains in mount.
