The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardona lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Da Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Ardona throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ardona fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Da Silva.
Ardona lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Da Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Da Silva.
Da Silva dives in and grabs Ardona's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ardona pushes down on Da Silva's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Da Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ardona circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Ardona as Da Silva shoots in.
Ardona lands with a thumping leg kick.
Da Silva is breathing heavily.
Ardona dances in with a quick combination. Da Silva is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Ardona snaps Da Silva's head back. Da Silva stumbles backwards against the cage. Ardona steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Da Silva's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Da Silva just didn't come prepared.
