The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson motions for Veavatne to come forward. Nelson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson tries to bum rush Veavatne with a series of wild strikes but Veavatne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Veavatne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nelson but Nelson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nelson throws a right hand that Veavatne ducks under and follows up with a left that Veavatne also avoids with ease.

Veavatne slips a jab and a cross from Nelson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veavatne fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nelson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nelson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Veavatne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Veavatne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Nelson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Nelson steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Veavatne is out on his feet! Nelson sets himself and nearly takes Veavatne's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
