Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Voodoo People as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, James Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Green showed some decent athleticism there. Johnson desperately trying to maintain half guard. Johnson tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Johnson won't allow Green to pass to mount. Green is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well. Johnson gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass. Green will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Green passes Johnson's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there. Green postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Green, into his guard. Johnson eventually gives up the hold. Green is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Green is not content to let Johnson control the position. Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Johnson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Johnson tries to hold on but Green pushes him away. Green is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Johnson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Green is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Johnson is trying to drag Green to the mat but Green just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A right handed body shot lands from Green.
Green scores with a nice hook to the head. Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Green is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Green displaying some good clinch control by pressing Johnson up against the cage. Green is working Johnson over against the cage. Green lands a right hand. Green avoiding damage.

Johnson is working for takedown but Green is calmly controlling the position for now. James Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson. Green lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. Green throws a punch but it's blocked by Johnson. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Green. Johnson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Green is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Green manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Green advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Green trying to pass the guard but Johnson defending well. Green uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson. Johnson flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Green is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Johnson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Johnson shrugs it off. Johnson is looking to improve his position but Green isn't that keen on the idea. Green swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Johnson is now in Green's guard. A big mistake from Green there, giving up the dominant position! Johnson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him. Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Green wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. Johnson trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Green looking for a sweep. Not yet Green, not yet. Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Green, up you get! Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense. Green lands a jab to the head.

Green breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. James Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Johnson closes the distance and pushes Green back into the cage. Green lands a nice shot to the body. Green presses Johnson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Green. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Green lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green lands a hook that snaps the head of Johnson backwards. Green is pushing Johnson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Green pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Green throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that's the end of the fight! James Green showed his dominance in that final round. I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
