Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vivien Let (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Let comes to the cage accompanied by Komintern sect - Plus fort que tout. DJ Jenkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DJ Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Vivien Let has been cut. Jenkins takes the fight into the clinch. Jenkins can't break the clinch.
Jenkins is trying to break the clinch but Let is controlling him. Let leaning his opponent against the cage. Let tries to score a body lock takedown but Jenkins shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jenkins has eaten all the pies! Jenkins stalling against the cage.
Jenkins drops down looking for an ankle pick but Let pulls his leg out and moves away.
Let moves into range and clinches up with Jenkins. Jenkins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Let has him pressed against the cage. Jenkins shoots for a double leg takedown but Let sprawls well. He's pushed Jenkins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jenkins is defended easily by Let. Vivien Let has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Jenkins. That's two minutes gone in the round. Let misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Let decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jenkins to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Let closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jenkins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Let decides to pull guard. Let trying to keep a closed guard but Jenkins is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Let is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Let is very close to passing his half guard. Let tries to pass to full mount but Jenkins defends it. Jenkins tries to kick Let off but Let keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. It looks like Let is going to stand back up.
Jenkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Let. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Let decides to return to a standing position. DJ Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins darts in trying to clinch and Let counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jenkins! Jenkins tries to hold on but Let pushes him away. Jenkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Let kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Let working for a guillotine from mount but Jenkins is in no mood to give up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Let walks away with a smile on his face. Jenkins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jenkins misses with the combination.

Let leaves Jenkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Let throws a hook to the side of Jenkins's head but Jenkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jenkins lands a nice looking body shot.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Let moves out of range. Jenkins connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jenkins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Let has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Let and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Let tries to pass to full mount but Jenkins defends it. Vivien Let overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jenkins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Let tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jenkins swivels and escapes. Jenkins throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Oh, Jenkins has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Let tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jenkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Jenkins does no damage. Jenkins moves into range and connects with a jab. Jenkins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Let. Jenkins rushes Let and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jenkins can't break the clinch.
