The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lane misses with a two punch combination.

Ivanov tries to sprawl but Lane drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Ivanov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lane pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lane is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Lane throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Ivanov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ivanov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lane is working away from the top position though.
Ivanov moves into full guard.
Ivanov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ivanov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ivanov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Ivanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lane is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ivanov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lane is looking to defend but Ivanov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lane! Ivanov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lane taps out and this one is all over!
