Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shain has chosen rack on racks as his entrance music. Brayden Hunter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brayden Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trey Shain! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shain circles away quickly and effectively. Hunter jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hunter misses with a double jab.
Hunter tries for a takedown but Shain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hunter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Shain fails in his attempt to clinch. Shain blocks the body kick.
Shain has managed to clinch.
Shain is pressed up against the cage. Hunter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shain down to the mat. Shain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Shain doesn't succeed with the takedown so Hunter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Shain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hunter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shain's head. Hunter controls from within his opponent's guard. Shain striking off his back but it's not causing Hunter any problems. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter stops Shain from standing up. Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hunter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Shain is pulling down on Hunter's head. It's preventing any offense from Hunter, at least for the moment. Shain wants to sweep but no luck. Shain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hunter sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shain doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunter circles away.
No joy there for Hunter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hunter misses with the combination.
Hunter clinches. Shain wants to break free but Hunter has control.
Shain tries to break free but Hunter pushes him back against the cage. Hunter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brayden Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shain wants a takedown.
Hunter is trying to drag Shain to the mat but Shain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. With the fighters up against the cage, Hunter throws an elbow but misses. Shain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hunter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Shain! Shain keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shain is in a horrible position here. Hunter smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Shain looks gassed! Hunter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shain can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hunter tries to control but Shain wriggling away. Hunter controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter punishing his opponent with strikes. Shain wants to control but Hunter is having none of it. Hunter controlling from the full mount. Hunter avoids the attempt from Shain to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brayden Hunter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hunter misses with a straight left. Hunter drops Shain with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shain looks back up at him and smiles so Hunter waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shain is rocked! Hunter shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Hunter slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Hunter lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Brayden Hunter!
