Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toby MacAllistar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hachiko Salvador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toby MacAllistar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salvador shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MacAllistar as he avoids it easily. MacAllistar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Salvador tries to improve position but can't. Salvador is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. MacAllistar is just content to waste time from the top position. Salvador takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. MacAllistar trying to control but Salvador is working from the bottom. Salvador is looking for a triangle but MacAllistar pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacAllistar sitting in guard, not really doing much. MacAllistar wanted to stand there but Salvador had control of the position. MacAllistar trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salvador is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. MacAllistar wants to pass the guard but Salvador is keeping the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Toby MacAllistar wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. MacAllistar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Salvador drops to a knee looking for a takedown but MacAllistar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
MacAllistar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Salvador shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so MacAllistar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Toby MacAllistar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hachiko Salvador. MacAllistar is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvador looking for a sweep. Not yet Salvador, not yet. MacAllistar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. MacAllistar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salvador on the ground. MacAllistar is pushing down on Salvador's leg trying to pass to half guard. Salvador is fighting to maintain full guard but MacAllistar has managed to sneak the leg through. MacAllistar winds up and cracks Salvador with a swinging punch to the side of the head. MacAllistar tries to stand and escape but Salvador actually recovers to full guard. MacAllistar throws and elbow that misses. Salvador uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in MacAllistar's guard. Nice move by Salvador!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvador tries to free his leg and advance position but MacAllistar is retaining full guard. MacAllistar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
MacAllistar is looking to stand up but Salvador isn't so interested in that idea. Salvador stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacAllistar swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toby MacAllistar dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Salvador fails with the takedown and MacAllistar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Salvador! MacAllistar controlling the position easily from mount. MacAllistar with a couple of short strikes. MacAllistar is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Salvador has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Salvador! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvador advances to half guard. Salvador is trying to work for a kimura but MacAllistar is defending well.
MacAllistar is trying to control but can't.
Salvador uses his free foot to push down on MacAllistar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for MacAllistar. MacAllistar tries to lock up and control but Salvador gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Salvador wants to finish this one by submission but MacAllistar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Salvador. Salvador goes for an armbar but MacAllistar turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from MacAllistar. MacAllistar trying to stand up but can't free himself from Salvador's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacAllistar stays in close to Salvador's body and controls the position. MacAllistar looking to pass the guard. Salvador escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacAllistar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. MacAllistar wants to pass the guard but Salvador is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toby MacAllistar dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by MacAllistar. Salvador gets back to half guard. MacAllistar wants to free his trapped foot but Salvador is holding on for dear life with his legs. MacAllistar throwing shots but Salvador is blocking nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacAllistar trying to control from Salvador's half guard. Salvador has other ideas though and has regained full guard. MacAllistar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Salvador working for submissions but it's allowed MacAllistar to get to half guard.
Salvador wants to get back to full guard but MacAllistar has passed into side control. Toby MacAllistar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salvador is looking to improve his position but MacAllistar isn't that keen on the idea. MacAllistar controlling from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. MacAllistar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Salvador manages to avoid the submission attempt. Hachiko Salvador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! MacAllistar stands up and beckons Salvador to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Toby MacAllistar showed his dominance in that final round. Well MacAllistar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
