Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Mccrackin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinton Jackson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phillip Mccrackin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phillip Mccrackin! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mccrackin moves out of range of the body kick.
Mccrackin gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Mccrackin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Mccrackin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson is looking to get back to full guard here but Mccrackin has managed to pass to side control instead. Mccrackin blocks Jackson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Jackson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mccrackin.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Mccrackin looks gassed! Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mccrackin wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mccrackin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jackson wants to get back to his feet.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jackson lands a couple of sideways elbows. Jackson is staying active underneath Mccrackin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jackson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson throws a couple of heel strikes.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Mccrackin controlling him for the moment. Mccrackin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mccrackin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jackson is trying to control the position but Mccrackin postures up. Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Mccrackin from controlling successfully.
Mccrackin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mccrackin shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mccrackin is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mccrackin is one step ahead there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.

Phillip Mccrackin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jackson slips a nice elbow through Mccrackin's hands, connecting with Mccrackin's forehead. Mccrackin is looking to escape. Jackson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mccrackin makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mccrackin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Mccrackin clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage. Jackson misses with a hook from the clinch. Mccrackin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jackson prevents it.

Mccrackin is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mccrackin down to the mat. Mccrackin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jackson throws a series of punches but Mccrackin moves out of range. Mccrackin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson. Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson decides to pull guard. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Mccrackin trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mccrackin tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson prevents Mccrackin from getting the reversal. Jackson avoids the attempt from Mccrackin to control. Jackson cracks Mccrackin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jackson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Mccrackin is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount. A nice elbow there by Jackson.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Jackson. Mccrackin is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him? Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mccrackin's face.

That has opened up Phillip Mccrackin's cut even more. Quinton Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jackson with shots to the head and body - Mccrackin looks very uncomfortable down there.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Phillip Mccrackin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
