Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Escobedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kullervo Haikas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kullervo Haikas will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eduardo Escobedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kullervo Haikas! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escobedo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haikas. Escobedo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Haikas quickly recovers to half guard. Haikas makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Escobedo misses with a looping right. Escobedo moves out of range as Haikas strikes. Haikas with a hook.
It looks like Eduardo Escobedo has been cut. Haikas throws a nice looking combination but Escobedo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kullervo Haikas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haikas dips to his left and cracks Escobedo with an uppercut! Haikas misses with a few strikes there.
Escobedo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Haikas.
Escobedo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Haikas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Escobedo is in Haikas's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Escobedo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Escobedo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Escobedo postures up in Haikas's guard and throws a big left but Haikas blocks it. Escobedo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Escobedo throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haikas wants to stand and escape but Escobedo is having none of it. Escobedo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Haikas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Escobedo. Haikas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Escobedo throws and elbow that misses. Haikas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Escobedo's guard. Nice move by Haikas! Escobedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Haikas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haikas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Haikas misses with a two punch combination.
Escobedo moves out of range of the strikes. Haikas lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Escobedo pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Haikas throws an overhand right that drops Escobedo like a sack of potatoes! Haikas dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
