Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. She Hates Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Stone!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Logan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sackett on the wrong end of a nice jab.


It looks like Logan Sackett has been cut.
Sackett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sackett showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stone.
Sackett misses with an uppercut.
Stone slips under a jab from Sackett.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sackett. Stone does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sackett.
Sackett lands with a shot to the body.
Sackett keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Stone misses with a looping right.
Good shot there by Sackett.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stone throws a hook to the side of Sackett's head but Sackett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sackett avoids a kick to the body.
Stone lands a jab to Sackett's midsection.
Stone looks for the body kick but Sackett saw that one coming.

Stone gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sackett to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sackett trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sackettis looking to pass into half guard but Stone pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stone is in guard.
Sackett is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sackett keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stone tries to stand but Sackett is controlling from the bottom.
Stone preventing the sweep.
Sackett controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone wants to control from the top but Sackett keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alexander Stone wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Sackett shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sackett tries to free his leg and advance position but Stone is retaining full guard.
Sackett slips nicely into half guard.
Sackett tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stone knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Sackett is working for a submission of some sort.
Sackett has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sackett prevents Stone from getting the reversal.
Sackett wants to control the pace but Stone is squirming around nicely.

Sackett goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stone turns into him and now he's in Sackett's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sackett looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sackett looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sackett!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Sackett dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Logan Sackett's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sackett takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses.
Sackett's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stone connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sackett scrambles back to his feet.
Stone throws a hook but Sackett avoids it easily.
A jab lands there for Sackett.
A lazy left from Stone finds it's target.
Stone goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sackett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stone misses with the combination.
Stone lands a jab.
Sackett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stone manages to avoid it.
Stone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sackett swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Stone to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stone clinches with his opponent.

Sackett has picked Stone up - he's going for a ride! Sackett dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Sackett prevents Stone from improving his position.
Sackett trying to mount his opponent but Stone defends it.
Sackett is trying to control the action in half guard but Stone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sackett frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Stone is trying to escape the mount.
Stone is bucking up trying to escape but Sackett cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sackett goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stone is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sackett looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sackett looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sackett!

Sackett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sackett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sackett goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sackett's guard! Nice work there by Stone!

Stone wants to pass the guard but Sackett is keeping the position.
Sackett wants to sweep here but Stone controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stone postures up in Sackett's guard and throws a big left but Sackett blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone working some strikes from top position.
Stone pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sackett is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alexander Stone will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Logan Sackett's cut.
That's time! Stone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A jab lands there for Stone.
Sackett on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Stone throws a body kick that misses.
Sackett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stone misses the jab.
Sackett throws a body punch but Stone moves out of range.
Sackett throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stone counters with a straight right hand.
Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sackett.
Stone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stone tries a head kick but it misses.
Sackett throws out a loose jab but Stone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Alexander Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone lands an overhand right.
Stone swings for the body but Sackett moves out of range.
Sackett is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stone rather than just go for the knockout.
Stone throws a leg kick but Sackett moved away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sackett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stone moves away.
Sackett avoids the body shot from Stone.
Stone throws a sloppy body shot
and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stone throws a jab but it's blocked by Sackett.
Stone lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sackett walks into a left hand.


That has opened up Logan Sackett's cut even more.
Stone takes one to the chin there.
Stone leaves Sackett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stone on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Alexander Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stone tries to move into range but Sackett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sackett pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Stone back to the cage. Sackett follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Stone is rocked!
Stone gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sackett gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Logan Sackett!
Logan Sackett is the new light heavyweight champion!
