Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kazimirs Kamazs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Henry!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamazs walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Henry checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kamazs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kamazs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Henry sprawls well. Henry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kamazs gets slowly back to his feet.

Kamazs walks into a stiff left hand from Henry.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazimirs Kamazs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Henry smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Kazimirs Kamazs has been cut.
Henry scores with a three punch combo!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Henry has taken the fight to the clinch.

Henry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Henry connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Henry stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Henry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kamazs manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kamazs walks into a left hand.
Henry moves in looking to clinch but Kamazs pushes him off.
Kamazs moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Henry fails in his attempt to clinch.

Henry drops Kamazs with a nice combination! Henry dives into Kamazs's guard, looking to finish!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh Kamazs is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kamazs wants to get back to his feet but Henry is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kamazs seems to have got his legs back now.

Henry connects with a couple of short punches.
Henry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Henry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Henry connects with a looping right hand.
Henry scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kamazs doesn't seem bothered though.
Kamazs is breathing heavily.
Henry lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Henry cracks Kamazs with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Kamazs tries to keep at a distance but Henry has taken the fight into the clinch.

Henry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kamazs drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Henry connects with a crisp jab.

A jab-cross combination lands for Henry and sends Kamazs crashing to the mat! Henry follows him down to the mat - Kamazs regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Henry working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Henry is nestled in close to Kamazs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Henry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kamazs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Henry winds up and cracks Kamazs with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Henry with the ground and pound but Kamazs uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Henry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kamazs is trying to maintain the position but Henry is very close to passing his half guard.
Henry is looking to take a break and control but Kamazs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kamazs is refusing to be controlled, as Henry sits in half guard.

Henry lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Henry passes to full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kazimirs Kamazs's cut is getting worse.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Henry! Kamazs is hurt baaadly! Henry is firing away with more strikes - Kamazs is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Henry!
