Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Astrobaldo Bocatorta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Severn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Astrobaldo Bocatorta! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bocatorta pinned against the cage. Bocatorta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bocatorta lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Dan Severn has been cut. Bocatorta has his takedown stuffed and Severn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Severn. Severn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. This has been an exciting period of action! Bocatorta can't keep his opponent in guard - Severn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Severn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bocatorta wants to control the action here but instead Severn manages to pass to full mount! Severn controlling his opponent. Bocatorta looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dan Severn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Severn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bocatorta is trying to defend but Severn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bocatorta is trying to escape back to his feet but Severn uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Severn slows the pace down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Severn dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dan Severn's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Severn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bocatorta! Severn controlling the pace for now. Bocatorta is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Severn wasn't doing enough on the ground. Severn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Severn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severn works his foot free and advances to mount. Severn sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Severn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Severn seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bocatorta for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dan Severn. Severn shoots in for a takedown but Bocatorta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Bocatorta. No joy for Severn on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Severn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Severn or perhaps it was just good defense by Bocatorta which made him look bad. Bocatorta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Severn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Severn content to control rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Severn dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dan Severn's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Severn looks for a takedown but Bocatorta sprawls well. Bocatorta falls off balance throwing a combination
so Severn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Severn looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Severn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Bocatorta takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Severn forces his way into half guard. Severn is controlling the pace.
Dan Severn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Severn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bocatorta to the mat! Bocatorta manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Severn showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Severn advances position into side control! Severn moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Severn wasn't doing enough on the ground. Severn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bocatorta avoids it really well and circles away. Bocatorta stuffs the takedown attempt from Severn. Severn gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Severn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Severn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
