The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Breeg cracks Diaz with an open hand slap.
Nice sprawl there from Breeg as Diaz shoots in.
A looping hook to the body misses from Breeg. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet.
A slow jab from Breeg misses its intended target.
Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Breeg avoids it really well and circles away.
Benjamin Breeg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Breeg keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Breeg fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Breeg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Diaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Breeg connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Breeg keeps the fight on the outside.

Breeg drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Diaz's face as Breeg controls the position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is trying to control Breeg's posture but Breeg avoids it.

Breeg decides to stand up, so the ref orders Diaz to his feet.
Breeg fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Breeg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dozer Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Breeg feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Breeg changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Breeg drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Breeg seems to have locked his on tight now - Diaz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Breeg, as he picks up the win!
