Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between roberto randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santian Sultan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). randall is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, roberto randall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Santian Sultan! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sultan moves into the clinch. Sultan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sultan can't get the takedown.

A head kick from Sultan lands but randall takes it in his stride. Sultan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. randall shoots in for a takedown but Sultan shows good takedown defense. Sultan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sultan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sultan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. randall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than randall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! randall goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sultan turns into him and now he's in randall's guard.
Sultan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. randall looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sultan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sultan trying to control the action but randall is working from the bottom. Sultan content to control rather than advance. Sultan tries to pass the half guard into mount. randall knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. randall avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sultan. Sultan wants to work for an arm triangle but randall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sultan is looking to take a break and control but randall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. randall is in trouble now - Sultan has advanced to mount! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sultan throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Santian Sultan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on roberto randall's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sultan wants to control from the top but randall keeps moving. randall working for submissions but it's allowed Sultan to get to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sultan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but randall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sultan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Sultan trying to control from half guard but randall is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sultan with the ground and pound but randall uses the opportunity to regain guard. OK we're going to have a standup here. Santian Sultan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. randall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sultan thows a big elbow that misses. Sultan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sultan trying to control but randall is working from the bottom. Sultan tries to free his leg and advance position but randall is retaining full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sultan wants to control from the top but randall keeps moving. Sultan pushes down on randall's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Santian Sultan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sultan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
