Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Rousseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Holmes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Rousseau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Holmes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousseau fails to land the takedown.

Rousseau drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rousseau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Holmes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Rousseau is looking to take a break and control but Holmes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Holmes tries to improve position but can't.
Holmes is not content to let Rousseau control the position.

Rousseau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rousseau seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holmes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Holmes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holmes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Holmes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

John Holmes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

John Holmes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Holmes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
