Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rob Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Justin Silva! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Stewart tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stewart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stewart gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Stewart manages to get to full guard.
Silva postures up in Stewart's guard and throws a big left but Stewart blocks it. Stewart throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stewart keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Stewart looking for a sweep. Not yet Stewart, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stewart keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Silva postures up in Stewart's guard and throws a big left but Stewart blocks it. Silva scoring with some ground and pound. Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stewart is proving hard to escape from. Silva won't allow Stewart to get back to his feet. Stewart is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Stewart gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stewart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stewart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stewart is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control the position.
Stewart works a leg free and moves into half guard. Silva is trying to control but can't.
Silva is pressing down on Stewart's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stewart pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now. Stewart drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Stewart off! Stewart jumps back into Silva's guard. Silva has Stewart pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Silva breaks the clinch.
A left lands for Silva. Stewart throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Silva tries for a takedown but Stewart sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stewart wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Stewart circles away.
Stewart wants to clinch. Stewart shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stewart showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva trying to control from the bottom.
Stewart is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva is trying to stand back up but Stewart is controlling him
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Stewart won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stewart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Stewart thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Silva wriggles free and stands up. Silva has his takedown stuffed and Stewart counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stewart. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Stewart dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva drives through and clinches with Stewart against the cage.
Silva blocks an uppercut.
Stewart gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Silva.
Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Stewart avoids the damage to the body. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stewart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Silva! Stewart is standing up, even though he is in mount. Stewart rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stewart closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away. Stewart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva throws a shot from downtown. Stewart moves away and avoids it. Stewart wants to clinch but Silva slips to the side and Silva moves into the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva taking a breather. Silva misses with a knee strike.
Silva breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stewart looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range. Silva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silva there as he acknowledges the shot. Silva is looking to clinch but Stewart is avoiding it.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Stewart. Silva fails with the takedown and Stewart counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stewart drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stewart jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Stewart wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rob Stewart overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stewart passes Silva's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs. Silva is looking for a sweep. Stewart is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stewart is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Stewart eventually gives up the hold. Silva trying to control from the bottom.
Silva gets back to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
Stewart wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva trying to control but Stewart is working from the bottom. Stewart looking for a sweep. Not yet Stewart, not yet. Silva landing with the ground and pound. Stewart throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Silva scoring with some ground and pound. Stewart throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stewart had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stewart Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead. Stewart is cranking Silva's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Silva! He's tightened the choke and Silva is tapping out!
