Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby TupperII! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Bowers! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! TupperII throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Bowers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. TupperII did well to prevent Bowers getting side control. TupperII keeping hold of Bowers's head, controlling as best he can. Bowers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but TupperII does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. TupperII trying to control here.
TupperII might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. TupperII missing with punches from the bottom.

Bowers trying to control the position from guard on top but TupperII is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. TupperII wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. TupperII is trying to control the position but Bowers postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tommy Bowers. A head kick from TupperII lands but Bowers takes it in his stride. Bowers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bowers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. TupperII has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bowers is sneakily working for an arm triangle but TupperII sees it coming and defends easily. Bowers is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, TupperII has managed to free his arm - good work. Bowers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. TupperII wants to improve his position but Bowers is controlling well.
Bowers is looking to take a break and control but TupperII is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. TupperII throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
TupperII wants to get back to full guard. TupperII avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bowers. TupperII is trying to get back to full guard. Bowers with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bowers is trying to control the action in half guard but TupperII is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bowers keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tommy Bowers was stalling too much, according to the referee. TupperII defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bowers. Bowers fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bowers looks gassed! Nice shot by TupperII. TupperII getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bowers is defended easily by TupperII. Bobby TupperII has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Bowers. Bowers takes a kick to the side of the head. Bowers dives in and grabs TupperII's left leg, looking for a takedown. TupperII pushes down on Bowers's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. TupperII lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bowers backs up against the cage.
TupperII lands with a nice combination. Bowers backs away looking to recover.
Bowers is rocked! A head kick by TupperII - that's a beauty! Bowers is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even TupperII can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
