Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dracul Damias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hank Johnstone!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damias throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Damias shoots in and drives through. Johnstone sprawls well.
Johnstone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Damias manages to avoid it.
Damias fails with a takedown attempt.
Damias walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Johnstone lands a head shot.
Damias darts in and clinches Johnstone up against the cage.
Johnstone tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Damias just stands there and leans against the cage.
Damias jumps guard and drags Johnstone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Johnstone wanted to stand there but Damias had control of the position.

Damias working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnstone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnstone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Damias is trying to control the position but Johnstone postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damias is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Johnstone is looking for a sweep. Damias is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnstone wants to sweep but no luck.
Johnstone had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Damias is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnstone Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Damias's back instead.
Johnstone is persistently looking for the submission but Damias is defending it well.
Johnstone looks gassed!
Johnstone is looking to control Damias but Damias is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Damias wants to escape the position.
Johnstone gets his hands free as Damias looks to control.
Johnstone throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Damias is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Johnstone gets his way!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Johnstone doesn't have the hooks in and Damias manages to turn into his guard.

Johnstone throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Damias stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Damias lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnstone at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Johnstone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johnstone clobbers Damias with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Johnstone avoids the head kick by Damias.
Damias lands a two punch combo.
Some wild striking there from Damias.
Damias misses with a takedown
and Johnstone counters with a right hand to the body.
Johnstone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Damias drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Johnstone wants to get back to his feet but Damias drags him back down.
Johnstone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Johnstone is looking to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Damias misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Damias takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Damias shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnstone as he jumps to the side.

Johnstone drops Damias with a right and a left! Johnstone comes rushing in but Damias regains his composure and manages to keep Johnstone in guard.

Johnstone decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Damias, up you get!

Johnstone lands a left and a right that sends Damias crashing to the canvas! Johnstone dives into mount looking to finish!

Johnstone jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Damias is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Damias and Johnstone has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Johnstone wants to control from the top but Damias keeps moving.
Johnstone is pushing down on Damias's leg trying to pass to half guard. Damias is fighting to maintain full guard but Johnstone has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hank Johnstone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Damias holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Damias is pressed up against the cage. Johnstone has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Damias down to the mat. Damias avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Damias misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Johnstone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nice uppercut there from Johnstone.
Damias shoots in but Johnstone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Johnstone lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Damias takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Johnstone misses with a wild body shot.
Damias goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnstone throws out a loose jab but Damias uses good head movement to avoid it.
Damias closes the distance and clinches.
Johnstone wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Johnstone wants a takedown but no success here.
Damias manages to break the clinch.
Damias throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dracul Damias is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Johnstone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Johnstone swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Damias.

Damias comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Johnstone drags the fight down to the ground.
Johnstone is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Damias frees his head nicely. Oh but Johnstone has switched to an armbar! Damias is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
