The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sangre wants to clinch up but Beefington keeps it at a distance. Sangre lands a two punch combo.
Beefington darts in and clinches Sangre up against the cage. Beefington content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Sangre throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beefington sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sangre throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beefington. Armando Sangre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sangre throws a combination that misses and Beefington counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sangre won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beefington happy to just control the position for now. Beefington is putting a hurting on Sangre here, landing some big shots from side control. Beefington stands up and we're back to a striking position. Beefington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beefington thuds his fist into the canvas! Beefington gets to his feet - Sangre follows without any prompting. Beefington throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sangre's waist but Sangre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beefington off to one side. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sangre!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sangre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sangre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sangre wants to sweep here but Beefington controlling him for the moment. Beefington connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beefington controlling from the top position. Sangre keeping moving, preventing Beefington from controlling successfully.
