Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Emmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rubio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Emmons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Rubio! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubio lands with a kick to the temple. Emmons shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rubio scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Emmons is trying to control Rubio's posture but Rubio avoids it. Emmons is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rubio thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rubio in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emmons is not content to let Rubio control the position. Emmons is trying to escape the position but Rubio is controlling the position. Rubio tries to move into full mount but can't pass Emmons's legs. Rubio controlling the position from side mount. Rubio goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Emmons rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Rubio's guard! Nice work there by Emmons!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Emmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Rubio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Emmons postures up.
Rubio is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Emmons drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rubio looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rubio looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rubio! Rubio is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Emmons knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emmons is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Rubio creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Emmons sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Emmons is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Emmons wants to control but Rubio postures up. Emmons trying to remain calm as Rubio controls from the top position. Rubio working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Rubio tries to move to full mount but Emmons actually manages to regain half guard. Emmons on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Rubio takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Emmons wants to get back to full guard but Rubio has passed into side control. Rubio controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Rubio dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rubio fails to land the takedown. Rubio with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rubio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emmons's waist but Emmons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rubio off to one side. Chris Emmons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Rubio. Rubio is looking to clinch. Rubio is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rubio moves into the clinch. Rubio is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Emmons manages to break the clinch.
Rubio tries to clinch but Emmons moves out of range. Emmons fails with the takedown so Rubio counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rubio wants to control from the top but Emmons keeps moving. Rubio controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emmons working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rubio. Rubio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rubio pushes down on Emmons's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rubio trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rubio looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rubio trying to control the action but Emmons is working from the bottom. Rubio thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Emmons is trying to control but can't.
Rubio trying to control the pace. Rubio is trying to control. Emmons wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Adam Rubio has got the better of the ground game so far.
Adam Rubio has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Rubio showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Emmons.
Chris Emmons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Emmons misses with a double jab
and Rubio counters with a right hand to the body. Rubio connects with a body shot that sends Emmons's belly button to the back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Emmons throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rubio counters with a good low kick that Emmons was not able to check. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rubio scores a takedown into full mount! Emmons is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Rubio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Rubio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Emmons looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rubio passes into side control.
Emmons is trying to control Rubio's posture but Rubio avoids it. Rubio connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Emmons some visible discomfort.
Rubio cracks Emmons with a big right hand but Emmons just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Emmons is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubio takes a little break here. Emmons wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rubio has knee on belly and moves into mount. BOOM! Rubio connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Emmons has given up his back here.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Rubio controlling the positon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rubio is persistently looking for the submission but Emmons is defending it well.
Emmons rolls, trying to escape but Rubio keeps control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emmons looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Emmons is covering up but some of the strikes from Rubio are getting through and doing damage.
Rubio has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Emmons preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Rubio. I would not like to be Emmons right now.
Chris Emmons has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rubio is hanging on to Emmons's back as he tries to escape.
Rubio has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Emmons! Can he survive? No! He's out! Rubio gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
