Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between shon mathew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ben ahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

mathew looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for ahr!
mathew throwing strikes but ahr bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

ahr postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. mathew looks a forlorn figure.

and mathew counters with a nice double leg into side control. ahr won't be happy with that.

mathew decides to stand back up. mathew steps back and let's ahr get back to his feet.

ahr has closed the distance and engaged mathew in a clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for shon mathew. That's going to take a lot out of him.

mathew has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but ahr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and ahr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in mathew's guard.
mathew manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. ahr manages to get himself to full guard.

ahr has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. mathew is defending well but eventually ahr manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! mathew has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
