Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovani Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim Jim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jovani Jones! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jones misses with a lunging right hand
and Jim counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that. Jim throwing strikes but missing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Jim looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jim wants to sweep but no luck. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jim is on top in guard.
Jim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jim.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jim working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jim trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jim thows a big elbow that misses. Jim looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jones throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jim is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jim's head. Jones scoring with punches to the head and body. Jones landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jim tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Jim is retaining full guard. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jim keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jim preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jim working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Jim's brow. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jim is keeping the position for now. Jones wants to control from the top but Jim keeps moving. Jones preventing the sweep.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jovani Jones wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jim. Jim with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Jovani Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jovani Jones will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jim gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Jim tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Jim shoots and misses and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jim doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Jim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jim moves out of range of the strikes. Jim defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand. Jones throws a big shot that misses. Jim fails with the takedown and Jim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jim takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws a right hand that Jim ducks under and follows up with a left that Jim also avoids with ease. Jim gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jim takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jones throws a jab when Jim was well out of range. Jim uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones. A big right from Jones misses. Jones connects with the punch. Jim misses with a takedown enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. A jab from Jones misses. Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Jim.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jim on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jim tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a nice body shot. Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jones misses with a straight right. Jones scores with a punch to the head. Jones misses with a lunging right hand
and Jim counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Jones wriggles free and stands up. Jim takes a shot right to the bread basket. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones scores with a hook. Jones jabs at Jim's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big left from Jones misses. Jones throws a combination. Jim tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A big left from Jones misses. Jones lands with a straight right. Jim didn't see that one coming. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jim sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jim moves out of range as Jones strikes. Jones might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jim Jim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jim slips under a jab from Jones.

Jim tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. Jones throws a hook but Jim avoids it easily. Jones missing with a left hand there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones misses with an uppercut. Jim saw that one coming. Jovani Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jim sees it coming and avoids it easily. The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jones throws a looping overhand right but Jim ducks down to avoid it. Jim slips a straight right by Jones. Jones cracks Jim with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jovani Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jim keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jim's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jim scrambles back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nice defenses there by Jim. Jim fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones scores with a punch to the head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Jim bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones throws a big shot that misses. Jones lands with a cross. Jim ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jim walks into a jab. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jim tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily letting Jones counter with a right hand. Jim ducks right into an uppercut from Jones. Jones looks to land a right hand but Jim moved out of range. Jones thuds his right hand into Jim's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jim acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Jim Jim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jovani Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Jovani Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
