Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mccaughan checks a leg kick. Wright shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mccaughan sprawls well. Mccaughan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wright gets slowly back to his feet. Wright throws a leg kick but Mccaughan moved away. Mccaughan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mccaughan is trying to trip Wright. He has hold of a leg but Wright is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mccaughan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Mccaughan gets to his feet - Wright follows without any prompting. Mccaughan throws a hook but Wright avoids it easily. Donk. Mccaughan catches Wright right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Jace Wright has been cut. Wright misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccaughan tries to clinch but Wright is having none of it. Wright checks a leg kick. Mccaughan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wright sprawls well initially but Mccaughan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wright tries to get to full guard but Mccaughan has control of the leg. Mccaughan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Wright to get to his feet. Wright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mccaughan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wright misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccaughan throws a nice looking combination but Wright bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mccaughan moves into range and clinches up with Wright. Mccaughan gets a trip takedown into half guard. Wright trying to get back to full guard but Mccaughan takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Wright is trying to escape the mount.
Mccaughan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wright is looking to escape. Wright is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mccaughan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wright tries to reverse the position but Mccaughan maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wright sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like Mccaughan is going to stand back up.
Mccaughan stands up from half guard. Wright takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mccaughan connects with a looping right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mccaughan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Mccaughan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jace Wright's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mccaughan fails to land the takedown. Wright steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mccaughan. That one must have hurt. Wright with a lazy takedown attempt letting Mccaughan counter with a right hand. Mccaughan scores with the left hand. Wright knows he should have avoided that one. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wright misses with a takedown and Mccaughan counters with a nice uppercut. Mccaughan thumps Wright with a low kick. Wright is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccaughan has managed to clinch.
Mccaughan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wright regains guard immediately. Mccaughan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wright, up you get! Mccaughan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Eric Mccaughan is winning the standup battle so far. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mccaughan. Nice body punch from Mccaughan. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mccaughan is looking to clinch. Wright showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mccaughan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jace Wright is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mccaughan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wright. A lazy left from Mccaughan finds it's target.
That has opened up Jace Wright's cut even more. Mccaughan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mccaughan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Wright looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mccaughan has picked Wright up and slammed him! Wright can't keep hold of the triangle and Mccaughan manages to pass to side control! Wright gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Mccaughan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mccaughan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Wright takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wright has his takedown stuffed and Mccaughan counters with a nice uppercut. Eric Mccaughan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jace Wright. Mccaughan is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab by Mccaughan. Mccaughan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wright's head.
The cut above Jace Wright's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wright needs to keep his hands up - Mccaughan had a free shot at his head there. Mccaughan doesn't manage to clinch there - Wright circles away.
Mccaughan closes the distance and clinches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mccaughan gets underhooks to prevent Wright's takedown attempt.
Mccaughan is working for takedown but Wright is calmly controlling the position for now. Mccaughan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wright pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wright with a lazy takedown attempt and Mccaughan counters into the clinch. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Mccaughan dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jace Wright's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Mccaughan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Wright is pressed up against the cage. Mccaughan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wright down to the mat. Wright avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wright shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mccaughan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mccaughan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wright is controlling him. Mccaughan has control of Wright's left arm, preventing Wright from doing any damage. Eric Mccaughan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wright forces his way into half guard. Wright takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wright is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mccaughan has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mccaughan pushes Wright off and gets back to his feet. Mccaughan cracks the inside of Wright's front leg. Wright takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mccaughan feints and as Wright raises his hands in defense, Mccaughan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mccaughan stands up from Wright's guard - Mccaughan perhaps looking for a knockout. Wright circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mccaughan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wright's guard now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mccaughan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mccaughan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Mccaughan trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mccaughan wants to stand but Wright is controlling his posture from full guard. Wright looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mccaughan passes into half guard.
Mccaughan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Eric Mccaughan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mccaughan decides to stand up. Jace Wright has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mccaughan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mccaughan moves into the clinch. Mccaughan pulls guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Mccaughan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mccaughan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
