Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Goran Reljic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Goran Reljic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xavier Peterson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reljic forces Peterson back against the cage and clinches. Peterson works on Reljic's body with a couple of short punches. Reljic missing with knees to the body.
Reljic misses with a knee to the head. Reljic misses with a punch on the inside.
Reljic is trying to break the clinch but Peterson is controlling him. Reljic throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Peterson blocks it with crossed arms. A nice left hand lands by Peterson.
Reljic taking a breather. Peterson tries to break the clinch but Reljic is controlling the position. Peterson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Reljic regains guard immediately. Reljic working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reljic's guard. Peterson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Peterson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Reljic defending well though. Peterson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Reljic regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Peterson. Peterson gets to his feet - Reljic follows without any prompting. Peterson clinches up against the cage. Peterson wants to break free but Reljic has control.

Peterson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Reljic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Peterson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Peterson throws a series of punches but Reljic moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson moves into the clinch. Reljic taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Reljic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A right hook to the body lands for Reljic.

Reljic is breathing heavily. Peterson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Peterson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Peterson gets a takedown into half guard. Reljic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reljic is looking to improve his position.

Peterson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Peterson trying to pass the guard but Reljic defending well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nice strikes from Peterson there. Peterson looks to land a strike but Reljic avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Reljic avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Peterson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Peterson trying to control the position from guard on top but Reljic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Peterson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Peterson landing some decent shots from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xavier Peterson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A slow jab from Peterson misses its intended target. Reljic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Peterson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Reljic tries a head kick but it misses.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Reljic - that will leave a mark!
Peterson shoots in for a takedown but Reljic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Reljic slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson thows a leg kick but Reljic checks it letting Reljic counter with a right hand. Reljic scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A low kick from Peterson misses and Reljic counters with a head kick. That will keep Peterson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Reljic turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Reljic throws a head kick but Peterson moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reljic shoots and misses and Peterson counters by clinching up. Reljic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peterson has him pressed against the cage. Peterson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Reljic looking to slow down the pace here. Peterson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson looking for a takedown. Goran Reljic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Peterson. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Reljic obliges. A battle for position here, against the cage. Peterson can't get the takedown.
Reljic pulls guard. Peterson throwing strikes from guard but Reljic blocks nicely. Peterson is looking to work some ground and pound but Reljic has wrist control. Reljic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Peterson is one step ahead there. Peterson works over Reljic with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson stands up over Reljic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Reljic keeping full guard, as Peterson tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Reljic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A head kick misses from Reljic. Peterson misses with a series of wild punches.

and Reljic counters with a nice kick to the body. Peterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reljic's waist but Reljic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peterson off to one side. Peterson swinging wildly here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reljic goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Peterson throws a nice looking combination but Reljic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Peterson dives in and grabs Reljic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reljic pushes down on Peterson's head and hops out. Peterson doesn't manage to clinch there - Reljic circles away.
Reljic blocks a low kick nicely. Reljic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Peterson. Reljic with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Peterson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reljic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Peterson being controlled here momentarily. Peterson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Goran Reljic will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Reljic goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Peterson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reljic. No luck with that takedown attempt from Peterson. Reljic connects with a high kick. Reljic clinches but Peterson breaks the clinch and Peterson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Reljic is retaining full guard. Peterson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reljic works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peterson is working Reljic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Reljic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Reljic trying to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peterson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson trying to control but Reljic is working from the bottom. Reljic looking for a sweep. Not yet Reljic, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reljic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Peterson is controlling him. Peterson stands up and waves to Reljic to follow him. Peterson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Reljic counters with a good, hard body kick but Peterson shrugs it off. Peterson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reljic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Peterson somewhat. Reljic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reljic connects with a leg kick. Peterson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Peterson. Reljic sneaks back into half guard. Peterson working over Reljic with some ground and pound. Reljic looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Reljic wants to get back to his feet.
Peterson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Peterson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reljic's head. Reljic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Reljic wants to get back to full guard but Peterson has mounted him! A nice elbow there by Peterson. Peterson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Peterson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Reljic is looking for a sweep. Peterson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Peterson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Peterson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reljic looks like he's trying to stand up.
Peterson wants to take a breather but Reljic is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Xavier Peterson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Peterson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
