Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marco Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and General Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). General Orlov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Belfort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, General Orlov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Orlov takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Belfort throws a head kick that misses.
Orlov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Belfort fails in his attempt to clinch.
Orlov wants to clinch.
Belfort looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Orlov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belfort is working away from the top position though.

Belfort is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Orlov has managed to free his arm - good work.
Orlov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Belfort throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Orlov shoots in but no luck this time.
Orlov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Belfort counters with a nice double leg into side control. Orlov won't be happy with that.
Belfort works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Belfort tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Belfort is breathing heavily.
Orlov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Belfort asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Orlov tries to improve position but can't.
Belfort trying to control the position but Orlov is working away.
Belfort wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Orlov, who protects the arm well.
Belfort lands some shots froms side control.
Orlov dodges the ground and pound from Orlov.
Belfort stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Orlov takes the fight into the clinch.
Orlov drags the fight down to the ground.

Belfort wants to stand but Orlov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Orlov is trying to control the position but Belfort postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Orlov is on top in guard.

Belfort has an active guard here but Orlov has managed to pass into half guard.
Orlov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Belfort is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Orlov pulls his head out easily.
Orlov stalling away here and it's allowed Belfort to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Orlov won't allow Belfort to get back to his feet.
Belfort bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Orlov's guard.
Belfort tries to free his leg and advance position but Orlov is retaining full guard.
Belfort trying to control but Orlov is working from the bottom.
Belfort throws a big right hand that misses.
Belfort slips nicely into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Belfort moves into full mount! Orlov won't be happy about that!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Belfort dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Belfort drives through and clinches with Orlov against the ropes.
Belfort has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Orlov is trying to keep an underhook but Belfort manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Belfort prevents Orlov from standing back up.
Belfort thows a huge punch but Orlov dodges it nicely.
Belfort in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Orlov tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Belfort!
