The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anderson pinned against the cage. Anderson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva avoids the head kick by Anderson.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Anderson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Matt Silva has been cut.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Anderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Anderson.
Anderson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva blocks a jab.
Anderson tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Anderson lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.
Silva blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Anderson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Silva is rocked!
Anderson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson dances in with a quick combination. Silva is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Anderson snaps Silva's head back. Silva stumbles backwards against the ropes. Anderson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Silva's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Silva just didn't come prepared.
