Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Sarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Phil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doctor Phil! The judges for this bout are , and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phil punishes Sarian's body with a nice straight punch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Phil jumps guard but Sarian stands there with Phil around his waist. Phil gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Phil tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Phil drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sarian gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Robert Sarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doctor Phil. Sarian has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Phil avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sarian is trying to push Phil away but Phil has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Phil tries for a takedown but Sarian manages to get underhooks.

Sarian wants to control from the top but Phil keeps moving. Phil looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sarian is one step ahead there. Sarian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sarian stands and steps away. Phil gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarian fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Phil throws a right hand that Sarian ducks under and follows up with a left that Sarian also avoids with ease. Sarian looks to clinch enabling Phil to counter with a crisp jab. Sarian has his takedown stuffed and Phil counters by moving into the clinch. Sarian jumps guard but Phil stands there with Sarian around his waist. Sarian gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Phil uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sarian takes a shot right to the bread basket. Phil will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Phil feints a jab promting Sarian to slip. Phil then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sarian slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Robert Sarian has been cut. Sarian looks to clinch and Phil cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sarian tries to clinch but fails miserably and Phil counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sarian looks to clinch and Phil counters with a one-two to the body. Phil checks a low kick from Sarian. Sarian tries to clinch up and Phil counters by clinching up. Phil breaks the clinch.
Phil closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sarian quickly recovers to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Phil trying to control from Sarian's half guard. Sarian has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Sarian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sarian has a closed guard, preventing Phil from standing up. Sarian trying to keep a closed guard but Phil is proving a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sarian has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Robert Sarian just wasn't active enough. Sarian tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Phil counters with a stiff right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sarian takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Phil throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sarian. Phil throws a head kick that misses. Sarian shoots in for a takedown but Phil shows good takedown defense. Sarian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Phil throws a series of punches but Sarian moves out of range. Phil scores with a three punch combo!
Sarian darts in trying to clinch and Phil counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Phil moves into the clinch. Phil tries for a takedown. No joy.
Phil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doctor Phil dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Sarian's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Phil slaps away a takedown attempt from Sarian, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sarian tries to clinch but Phil moves away and Phil holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sarian gets control of Phil's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sarian will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Phil showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Phil wants to get up but he can't break Sarian's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sarian keeping moving, preventing Phil from controlling successfully. Sarian will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Phil trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Sarian utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sarian looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Doctor Phil. Phil lands with a nice combination. Sarian backs away looking to recover. Sarian stuffs the takedown attempt from Phil. Phil gets slowly back to his feet. Phil is breathing heavily. Sarian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Phil is trying to control Sarian's posture but Sarian avoids it. Sarian looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Phil is avoiding damage well.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Sarian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Phil looks to land a combination but Sarian avoids it well. Phil blocks a head kick by Sarian.
Robert Sarian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Phil circles away from the clinch attempt and Phil connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sarian shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Phil pinned against the cage. Phil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Phil scoring well with a low kick there.

Sarian shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Phil but Phil pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sarian takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Phil stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sarian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phil tries to avoid it but Sarian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phil to the ground. Phil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Phil shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sarian is trying desperately to improve position. Sarian tries to lock up and control but Phil gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doctor Phil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Robert Sarian's cut. That's time! Sarian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Phil rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sarian moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sarian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Phil fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sarian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarian tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phil swivels and escapes. Phil leaves Sarian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Sarian. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sarian looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Phil lands a jab-cross combination. Sarian gets caught flat footed, as Phil shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Phil controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sarian bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Phil's guard. Phil wants to sweep here but Sarian controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phil is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sarian slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Phil. Phil is trying to get back to full guard. Phil is not content to let Sarian control the position. Sarian is really struggling to control Phil but he's trying to hold on to the position. Sarian thows a huge punch but Phil dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phil is staying active underneath Sarian, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Sarian is looking to advance position but Phil won't allow it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Phil works over Sarian's head and body with a nice combination. Sarian moves into the clinch. Phil tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Robert Sarian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Doctor Phil is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sarian postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Sarian. I think Phil has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
