Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jim Storm was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Storm!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storm uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koothrappali .

Storm looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Storm wants to free his trapped foot but Koothrappali is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Storm is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Koothrappali sees it coming and defends easily.
Koothrappali is doing well to control the position and prevent Storm from advancing to side control.
Koothrappali on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Koothrappali tries to get out of the position.
Storm is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Koothrappali reverses the position - he's now on top in Storm's guard.
Koothrappali has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Koothrappali wants to get up but he can't break Storm's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Storm has his foot on Koothrappali 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koothrappali works his way back into a safe position though.

Horrible takedown by Storm or perhaps it was just good defense by Koothrappali which made him look bad.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koothrappali lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Storm has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Storm and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Storm crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Koothrappali - the referee stops the clock and Storm gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Koothrappali . Storm manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Storm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koothrappali doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koothrappali manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Storm is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
Koothrappali would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
