Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rik Lock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David West! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lock swings for the body but West moves out of range.
A right-left combo lands from West. Lock lands with a hook. West tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. West throws a right and a left that both miss. West misses with a double jab.
Lock scores with a hook to the body. West takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lock throws a shot to the body.
Lock takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Lock fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. West slips a straight right by Lock. West misses with a hook
and Lock makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. West walks into a stiff left hand from Lock. This has been an exciting period of action! Lock lands a nice hook to West's body. West takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. West looks gassed! West ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lock moves away. West gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lock. Lock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from West. Lock bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps West's head backwards. Lock lands a nice looking body shot.

Lock throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck West on the side of the head. West walks into a straight right hand from Lock. West misses with a few strikes there.

West takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lock punishes West's body with a nice straight punch. Lock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches West on the side of the head. Lock throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck West on the side of the head. West throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lock lands a nice shot to the body.
West walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A left lands for Lock. West tries to move into range but Lock moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Lock lands with an uppercut that bounces West off the cage and back into rage. Lock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lock misses with a double jab.
David West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lock lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. West gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Lock lands a really nice looking cross but West seems unphased.

West has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lock finds it's way round the side to connect with West's head. Lock jabs West to the body, keeping him at a distance. West tries for a takedown but Lock circles away easily and Lock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches West on the side of the head. The crowd cheers as Lock lands an impressive looking overhand right. West doesn't seem phased though. West falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lock, as that shot connected.
West swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lock counters with a one-two to the body. A jab from Lock misses. Lock connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A lazy left from Lock finds it's target. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lock cracks West with a good jab. Lock connects with a body shot. A jab from Lock does it's job there. West has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lock works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. West misses with a right hand and Lock counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps West thinking. Lock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lock swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by West. Nice jab there from Lock. Lock defends well against a solid takedown attempt from West. Rik Lock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David West. Lock pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lock catches West with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lock dips to his left and cracks West with an uppercut! I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lock ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Lock digs a good body shot into West's ribs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Donk. Lock catches West right on the button with a cross. Lock punishes West's body with a nice straight punch. Lock getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Lock lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lock is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Lock stuns West with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rik Lock dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? Rik Lock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. West tries for a takedown but Lock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lock connects with a body shot that sends West's belly button to the back. Some wild striking there from Lock.
West doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. West doesn't seem bothered though. Lock jabs at West's body. Lock works West's body with a nice hook. Lock lands with a nice body punch. Lock lands a jab to West's midsection. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lock misses with a looping right. Lock blocks a head kick by West.
West lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lock circles away quickly and effectively. West on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Lock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that's the end of the fight! Rik Lock showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
