Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ghetto Zombie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Murk! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zombie lands with a hook. Murk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Joe Murk has been cut. Zombie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Murk. Ghetto Zombie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zombie swinging wildly here.
Murk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zombie to the mat! Zombie manages to get full guard. Zombie is looking to stand up but Murk isn't so interested in that idea. Murk trying to control but Zombie is working from the bottom. Zombie wants to sweep but no luck. Murk trying to control the position from guard on top but Zombie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Murk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zombie is keeping the position for now. Zombie on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zombie tries to get out of the position. Murk postures up in Zombie's guard and throws a big left but Zombie blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murk thows a big elbow that misses. Murk slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Murk forces his way into half guard. Murk not landing any meaningful shots this time. Murk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Zombie has hold of Murk's hands but Murk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murk wants to control but Zombie is keeping him busy. Murk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Murk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zombie sees it coming and defends easily. Zombie won't allow Murk to pass to mount. Murk is working for a submission of some sort.
Murk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zombie keeps working. Murk prevents Zombie from standing back up.
Murk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Murk is trying for a kimura here. Zombie looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Murk wins by kimura!
