Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Efram Serveso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricardo Brown!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Brown was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Serveso tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away.
Serveso is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Serveso is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Brown thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Serveso suckers Brown into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Serveso is now in Brown's guard!
Serveso will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Serveso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brown misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown feints and as Serveso raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brown fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Serveso sprawls well initially but Brown persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
