Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and North Dakota Wrestler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, North Dakota Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wrestler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Howard's half guard.
Wrestler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Wrestler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wrestler stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Howard to get to his feet.

Howard clinches up with Wrestler and pushes him back against the cage.
Howard is working Wrestler over against the cage.
Wrestler has had enough of the clinch but Howard keeps him there for the moment.
Howard looking to stall.
Howard unloads a knee to the mid-section.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wrestler wants a takedown but no success here.

Howard pulls Wrestler into guard.
Wrestler is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Howard wants to get back to his feet but Wrestler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wrestler content to stall in guard here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wrestler showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by North Dakota Wrestler.
Howard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Wrestler gets a takedown into half guard.

Wrestler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Howard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wrestler.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Howard wants to get back to full guard.
Howard is working hard here to advance position.
Wrestler performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wrestler wants to pass to mount but Howard is defending the position.
Howard moves into full guard.

Wrestler gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wrestler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wrestler moves in looking to clinch but Howard pushes him off.
Howard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wrestler sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wrestler darts in trying to clinch

and Howard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but North Dakota Wrestler will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Wrestler tries to clinch but Howard is having none of it.

Wrestler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wrestler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wrestler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wrestler lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Wrestler fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Howard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Wrestler wants to finish this one by submission but Howard is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wrestler.
Wrestler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Howard is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wrestler raining down hammerfists from mount.
Howard in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Howard tries to reverse the position but Wrestler maintains control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wrestler content just to control the position here.

Wrestler is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Wrestler extends the arm and Howard is forced to tap!
