Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manuel Bolivar!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolivar misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Bolivar.
Bolivar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bolivar counters with a two punch combo.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith misses with a looping right.
Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bolivar counters with a two punch combo.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Bolivar tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bolivar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bolivar shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bolivar is looking to clinch.
Bolivar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Smith tries to clinch but Bolivar is having none of it.
Bolivar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bolivar somewhat.
John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manuel Bolivar.
Bolivar misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bolivar counters with a left and a right that stings Smith.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bolivar lands with a nice combination. Smith backs away looking to recover.
Bolivar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Bolivar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bolivar swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Smith.
Bolivar looks to land a combination. Smith sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Smith is rocked!
Bolivar connects with a superb combination that knocks Smith out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Bolivar before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Smith!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Manuel Bolivar!
