Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyreke Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rick Welsh!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Welsh is defended easily by Evans.
Welsh shoots in for a double leg but Evans sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Evans is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Welsh can't fight it off and eventually Evans manages to take the fight to the floor. Welsh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Evans has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Welsh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Evans.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyreke Evans will probably get the nod.

Evans shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Welsh eats them both and turns towards Evans to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Evans is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Welsh jumps into side control!

Welsh has control of Evans's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Evans regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Evans tries to lock up and control but Welsh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

I would just about give that final round to Rick Welsh.
I think Welsh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
