Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinicius The Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Machida looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Machida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius The Killer! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Killer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machida pinned against the cage. Machida gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Machida looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The Killer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Machida as he jumps to the side. The Killer tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The Killer fails with the takedown. Kenny Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vinicius The Killer. Machida swats away the attempt to clinch by The Killer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - The Killer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The Killer tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Vinicius The Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Killer shoots in looking for a takedown but Machida manages to keep the fight standing, pushing The Killer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. No luck for The Killer with that takedown attempt. Machida displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Killer. Machida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A telegraphed takedown attempt from The Killer is defended easily by Machida. Machida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Machida showed some decent athleticism there. Machida is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Killer defends it well. The Killer regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Machida looking for submissions from the bottom but instead The Killer passes into half guard.

The Killer is looking for a sweep. Machida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The Killer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for The Killer.
